Today was my first day keeping the media center open for extended hours. I went in to the MC earlier in the day to learn how to check books in and out. It seems like a relatively straightforward process and didn't take me but a few minutes to catch on. The only thing that I made a mental note that I need to pay attention to is whether I have the system on the check in button or the check out button. Everything else was pretty self explanatory.
So I have the media center open and I am prepared. Hardly anyone shows up. I chalked it up to the fact that they only learned about it the day before so no one was prepared to have it open and no one is used to it being open. I did have a couple people come in and use the laminator and the ellison cutters. Hopefully it will be more eventful next week!
