This week is Children's Book Week, so the media center is the place to be! Today was our reading lock-in where students were allowed to wear their pajamas and were encouraged to read all day. Because of this, the media center was incredibly busy. I stopped by to get a couple books so I could read to a Kindergarten class and I could hardly see the media clerk behind all her piles. So I stayed to help reshelve books and get them caught up. I had never reshelved in the media center so I was a little unsure of their organization system, but caught on rather quickly. I took several of the series books and put them where they belonged. The students were incredibly helpful in the fact that if I couldn't find a series, they would tell me exactly where it was! After about an hour, they seemed to be caught up pretty well and had called in enough reinforcements that I felt like I could leave and not affect them too bad.
