Today I worked in the media center again after hours. I invited the after school program to take advantage of the extended hours and they did! I had two classes in there the entire time until 4:30. I set up all the computers prior to the students arriving for Study Island. Each computer was logged on and had the program up and running so all they had to put in was their usernames and passwords. It made the process so much easier! They were actually able to be actively engaged for the entire 90 minutes they were there. I was glad to be able to help them in this way!
During this time, I also had the same handful of people using the laminator, ellison cutters, and paper cutters in the workroom. I also helped a couple teachers find books they were looking for. They got whatever information out of them that they needed and left.
